Three product marketing job openings came to my attention, so I thought I'd share them here:

Product Director, Campaign Solutions
(Near Los Angeles, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Boston or Toronto)

Are you someone who thrives on developing a roadmap from scratch? Do you scoff at ambiguity? Are you a passionate, curious, strategic leader? You could play a critical role in the visioning and creation of our next level campaign solutions for this company!

The company is currently seeking a talented and innovative Product Director of Campaign Solutions. This is a newly created role that reports directly to the VP, Business Services. It’s a high profile position in the company due to the importance of the company's emerging services portfolio.

As the Product Director, Campaign Solutions you will be in charge of creating all of our campaign solutions for small businesses that enable them to create effective marketing campaigns to build their business. Today those solutions include email marketing and social media marketing. Within the next year we expect to introduce print campaign solutions as well.

You will also be responsible for the evolution of our social network for small businesses.Small business owners recognize they need to use a mix of different marketing programs and media to enable them to grow their business and presence. They are keenly interested in social media, email marketing and how to use these solutions in conjunction with traditional print marketing campaigns. We know small businesses need innovative marketing solutions that are effective and simple to drive their growth.

This role requires a passionate leader with a deep understanding of online and offline marketing solutions that can develop innovative products for small businesses. Helping small businesses succeed is our passion at the company because we know successful small businesses fuel the economy and the character of our local communities.

This role will lead the product team to create an integrated roadmap that meets the needs of our wholesale and retail customers for the Campaign Solutions offerings. This position will work closely with the sales, marketing and development leaders to deliver competitive solutions that deliver strong share of the small business market. Additionally, the role is responsible for ensuring that the company has an effective go to market strategy and associated execution plan.

The Director will need to understand the evolution of technology and how it impacts current solutions and future product development. The leader will also be responsible for the P&L, competitive strategy and the new solution strategy/positioning.

The ideal candidate is someone with relevant small business services product marketing experience; social media and/or email marketing experience is highly desired.

This individual will contribute immediately in the development of these pivotal solutions and its integration with the company’s other Business Services solutions that help small businesses get and keep customers.

Online Product Manager
(Near Albany, NY)

This position is responsible for managing the entire product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities including definition of market needs and translation into product requirements. Create and execute product plans which will include establishing product penetration targets, developing strategies and driving initiatives for achieving these targets. Understand customer and business requirements to define roadmaps for development of product enhancements which will increase acquisition, retention, revenue and profitability potential. Conduct ongoing evaluation of assigned products for market viability, and make product changes/enhancements when necessary.

The Product Manager is responsible for managing key project initiatives that enhance the existing product set while keeping an eye on the future. This will include: defining the product components, gathering and prioritizing product requirements, and working closely with IT, sales, production and engineering, marketing, and customer care to ensure that revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager also develops strategies and oversees marketing initiatives to meet company’s goals for customer acquisition, retention and growth.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the development and management of web-based products and services and experience in communicating strategies and business cases to stakeholders. Knowledge of online marketing a must.

Familiarity with industrial business to business environment a plus.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective go-to-market plans including pricing, market positioning, marketing and sales objectives, and promotional strategy for assigned products.
  • Work with Sales planning to develop Sales channel strategy and launch plans for new product introductions including a detailed internal and external communication plan.
  • Monitor competitive performance, customer feedback and satisfaction. Keep abreast of new technologies and marketing trends.
  • Work with marketing communications to define, implement and manage promotional activities, direct marketing and lead generation, and new product launch plans.
  • Assist sales and client support teams with product-related issues.
  • Support the sales process and build sales tool kits and training in conjunction with Sales Management.
  • Provide ongoing analysis – including the use of surveys and other feedback tools – to monitor product effectiveness, competitiveness and financial performance.
  • Test, track, and evaluate results of all marketing initiatives to ensure proper use of resources and continuous improvement.

Director Product Management, Web Services
(Near Los Angeles, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Boston or Toronto)

This is a newly created role that reports directly to the VP of Business Services. It’s a high profile position in the company created due to the importance of its emerging services portfolio.

In this role you will be responsible for all web hosting, web design and related applications for our retail and wholesale customers. The Web Services portfolio is approximately $60 million with strong annual growth. The company has 400,000 hosting customers.

As the Director of Product Management, Web Services, you will also manage the roadmap for the retail and wholesale web services offering and all aspects of the go-to-market strategy. In this role, you will manage a team of product managers and senior product managers and work closely with the sales, marketing and development teams. You will be responsible for clearly defining and articulating to the company's customers and prospects the key value propositions for this solution. Additional responsibilities include P&L management, competitive strategy and the new solution strategy/positioning.
